Brittani + Adam ~ Beach Club Wedding Winners
With Covid affecting the wedding plans of so many couples, our hearts broke for them! When things like mingling and dance floors were negatively impacted at weddings, we knew we needed to change things up and create an option for couples who were keen to get hitched despite COVID restrictions that didn’t allow the traditional style of wedding to continue.
The Beach Club wedding was born! An intimate, day time, long lunch style event that focused more on grazing great food, knocking back delicious cocktails and chatting with your favourite people as the sun sets over the water.
To help launch this concept we wanted to give back to a couple who have really struggled during this time, so along with some epic suppliers, Figtree Wedding Photography, Anchored Cinema, JANDA Events, Cakes by Baked, Wheel and Spoon, Ivy and Bleu, One Day House and The Celebrant Circle, we decided to give away a wedding (worth $30k) to one lucky, deserving couple.
Here’s what happened next…
Brittani and Adam met at work 9 years ago and Adam popped the big question in Bali in 2018. With their original plans for a small wedding with their nearest and dearest side railed due to COVID, they had the added pressure of also having to deal with two major family incidents
The couple had just received devastating health news about Brittani’s dad, when Adam suffered a serious workplace injury. After he fell 4 metres, suffering a compound fracture in his leg and a broken ankle in 8 places, Adam was unable to return to full time work. 2020 was mentally and financially stressful for Brittani and Adam as they worked through COVID related job uncertainty, Adam’s recovery and their family member’s health concerns. Understandably, wedding planning was pushed to the bottom of their priority list.
Brittani + Adam’s incredible day at Ancora in April was made possible by a host of generous suppliers who created a luxe, beachy vibe while Brittani and Adam added their personal touches to make the day their own.
