Jamie + Matt ~ Ancora Real Wedding

Jamie + Matt – their wedding day exudes ultimate fun! Starting with their beachside wedding ceremony, champagne toast + furbaby cuddles, onto popping bottles by the Fingal Lighthouse, before a confetti shower arrival at Ancora and dancefloor cocktails. Our gorg bride Jamie, shares some more about their dream day.

THE WEDDING STYLE ~

It was a simple Mediterranean style involving creamy tones, lush greenery with olive branches, lemons, and stunning blooms!

WHY ANCORA ~

The venue truly speaks for itself! Minimal styling is needed as the beautiful, featured pendant lights are the centre piece (in our eyes), crisp whites and bright pink bougainvillea really made us feel like we were back in the Mediterranean! The food, definitely – we had previously heard how epic the food is there and we were not disappointed (if only there was a restaurant next door that we could visit to enjoy and reminisce on all the amazing food we ate that night). And the flexibility around weather conditions, who knows what the day could bring – luckily, we ended up having a clear afternoon to have our ceremony outdoors and celebrate inside as the night continued!

THE BEST PART ~

The entire day! It was personalised to what we wanted – a small wedding ceremony on our favourite beach, then we arrived at Ancora to surprise our guests that we were already married! We all enjoyed the afternoon sunset together with cocktails and amazing music by the Fonoti Brothers – our day was intimate, simple, and so much fun!

Most would say the entire menu was insane.. but for us the Lamb and the Fish were the standouts!

A SPECIAL MOMENT~

Our first dance together! Our favourite song, our dancing in the kitchen song, to not only share this moment together but to celebrate this moment with everyone in the room – they took us by surprise, as they all lifted both of us up and danced out our song with Matt and I! It set the vibe for the entire night, no one sat down after dinner the music, the venue, the drinks, our friends, and our family all together, we did not stop celebrating and that is exactly how we imagined our day to be!
