What was the brief from the couple?

“Pastel Spring Garden.”

Top tips for briefing a stylist/florist?

“Mood Boards or inspo pics are always a huge help. Include your bridesmaid dresses if they are a stand out colour so we can make sure all of the colours compliment each other and not clash.”

Rough budget a couple should allow for a full arbour and hanging installation?

“Arbour arrangements start from $650 and installations are from $950.”

How long did it take to create the floral masterpieces for this wedding?

“We picked up the flowers from our suppliers 2 days before the wedding. We take them back to our studio and condition / hydrate them. The next day we created all of the bouquets and button holes. They day of the wedding, we created the ceremony + reception flowers on site. All up we would estimate about 15 hours.”

Ways to save money on your florals?

“Choose stunning ceremony pieces like plinths, ground arrangements or pedestals with flowers on top so that you can easily move these inside your reception space.”

What’s the best part about styling a venue like Ancora?

“The high ceilings and how bright / white the venue is. It is so versatile and really makes colourful weddings pop!”

What was your favourite part about this wedding?

“The colours! They looked so good in the venue and were just so fun. The perfect pastel spring garden.”

Any special stories to share about the couple, planning process or wedding day?

“Our plan A for the ceremony was inside Ancora and it looked fab! The couple wanted something that couldn’t be affected by the weather and kept everything really easy for their guests.”
