Madeline + Alex ~ Ancora Real Wedding

Less wedding, more epic love party, Madeline + Alex put on quite a show. From the next level amazing florals, disco balls and neon lights, to the champagne tower entry, signage and tablescape there are so many details to love. Starting their day at The Pink Hotel, they met their loved ones at Tropical Fruit World for their ceremony before heading to Ancora for the party.

Why Ancora ~

The staff were amazing and made us feel confident from the very beginning. We also LOVED the menu and the venue is a beautiful clean slate which we knew would adapt and suit any style of wedding we chose.

The Best Part ~

Probably the food. All of our guests told us how much they loved the food and there was so much of it! It was truly delicious. We also found our coordinator and all venue staff super helpful and responsive and they were ready to answer any and all questions we had.

Favourite Thing on the Menu ~

Honestly everything was soooo good it’s hard to pick a stand-out but I’d have to say the Bangalow Pork Belly starter was incredible and disappeared off the table pretty quick! My husband and I also really loved the herb crusted fish – it was so fresh and flavourful. If I could have taken all the left overs home in a doggy bag, I would have!

A Special Moment ~

Arriving at Ancora after our ceremony to see our huge champagne tower waiting for us to pour it was pretty exciting – My husband and I could revel in our just-married buzz and we knew one hell of a party was waiting for us inside. The champagne tower was a beautiful way to greet our guests and set the mood. Entering the venue with a fresh coupè of sparkling to see how all the decorations looked was also really special.

Special Mentions ~

Ancora was just the most amazing venue we could have asked for – they looked after us and our guests so well and we had the most incredible time ever. I also loved that we could have a hanging floral arrangement. Our Florist, The French Petal was INCREDIBLE and it was just amazing to have her bold, bright arrangement complete with disco balls hanging above the centre table.
